Ascent Health & Performance: Expanding Access to High-Quality Care in Anchorage
At Ascent Health & Performance, we’re committed to making evidence-based chiropractic and rehab care accessible to the South Anchorage and Hillside communities. We are in the process of becoming in-network for active care patients with Premera Blue Cross, Aetna, and TriWest, with plans to finalize this within the next 2-3 months.
In the meantime, we offer flexible CARE cash payment plans through CHUSA, making high-quality care affordable for those without insurance or looking for additional payment options. If you have any questions about current pricing or upcoming insurance coverage, we’re happy to help—just reach out!
We’re especially excited about becoming in-network with TriWest, allowing us to better serve veterans, Reservists, and National Guard members. Supporting those who have served is something we are deeply passionate about, and we look forward to helping them move, feel, and perform at their best.
YOUR CARE
At Ascent Health & Performance, we take an active, evidence-based approach to treatment—whether you’re recovering from an injury or looking to optimize your performance. Our goal is to get you out of pain, restore function, and keep you moving for the long haul. We have cash plans for both but typically insurance only covers active care.

Active Care
Active Care is for those dealing with pain, restricted movement, weakness, numbness, or other dysfunction caused by an acute injury or chronic condition. This phase of care focuses on addressing the root cause of your issue—not just temporarily relieving symptoms.
Active Care includes:
✔ A thorough evaluation with planned re-evaluations to track progress
✔ Chiropractic care and manual therapy to restore movement and function
✔ Functional rehabilitation and corrective exercises
✔ Other supportive techniques tailored to your condition
Goals of Active Care:

Performance Care (often referred to as maintenance care) is for those who want to stay ahead of injuries, improve movement quality, and prevent setbacks. The top predictor of future injury is previous injury, and the second is asymmetry—which is why regular care helps keep you moving efficiently and pain-free.
Due to the daily wear and tear of life, work, and activities, we all tend to default to inefficient movement patterns and poor posture. Performance Care helps correct these tendencies before they lead to bigger issues.
Why Performance Care Matters
Insurance companies typically do not cover maintenance care because they don’t consider it “medically necessary.” According to insurance guidelines, care is not deemed necessary when:
