Dr. Tyler
Owner/Doctor of Chiropractic
Dr. Tyler’s journey to founding Ascent Health & Performance is rooted in a lifelong passion for movement, resilience, and adventure. A former competitive athlete, he originally pursued commercial aviation before shifting to chiropractic after recognizing the toll of a sedentary lifestyle. Earning his Doctorate from Northwestern Health Sciences University, he developed a practice centered on evidence-based care, functional movement, and performance optimization. As a certified Active Release Techniques (ART) provider, he specializes in treating low back pain, frozen shoulder, sciatica, and sports-related injuries. With a history of building a 5-star clinic serving athletes and outdoor enthusiasts, Dr. Tyler integrates hands-on care with rehab to create lasting results. His philosophy bridges clinical recovery and peak performance, helping patients regain strength and confidence. Now in Alaska, he’s embracing the wild—snowboarding, mountain biking, and exploring new challenges. Whether in the clinic or the gym, Dr. Tyler leads by example, pushing his own limits to inspire others in their ascent to better health.
Dr. Laura
Owner/Doctor of Chiropractic
Dr. Laura’s path to chiropractic is anything but conventional—her journey spans continents, careers, and a deep passion for movement and biomechanics. Originally a linguistics and culinary arts graduate, she transitioned from pastry chef to chiropractor after recognizing her true calling in health and performance. She trained at Northwestern Health Sciences University, working with high-level athletes before co-founding a top-rated clinic in Jackson, WY. With certifications in Active Release Techniques (ART), Graston, RockTape, and Functional Strength Coaching, she specializes in extremity work, post-surgical recovery, and performance optimization. She’s passionate about helping patients rebuild strength and mobility, whether recovering from injury or fine-tuning movement. After years in Jackson, she and Dr. Tyler made the leap to Alaska, bringing their expertise to a new community. When not in the clinic, she’s wrangling their two young kids, lifting weights, and looking forward to more adventures in the mountains.

Dr. Shreena
Doctor of Physical Therapy, Trainer
Shreena has been a physical therapist and personal trainer for 8+ years. After graduating from PT school, Shreena went into a cardiopulmonary residency in St. Louis and found a love for the cardiothoracic ICU. By day, she was practicing physical therapy in the hospital, helping people learn how to walk after a hospital stay or life-changing surgery. By night, she was working with everyday people learning how to move their body efficiently and with proper form. Now, she is looking for a change by switching to the outpatient world and helping people get back to their hobbies after over-use injuries or traumatic events. If you're looking for someone to get you back to your passions, Shreena is your girl!
Coach Brett
Certified Personal Trainer
Brett is approaching his 10-year mark as a personal and group fitness trainer. Growing up as a sports-minded farm kid in North Dakota, he learned early that hard work and dedication are the ultimate keys to success.
He kick-started his training career by creating a strength and conditioning program at his high school—a passion project that led him to pursue and complete his Exercise Science degree at the University of North Dakota. During college, Brett worked at an athletic performance gym where he trained a wide range of athletes, from middle schoolers to professionals. He loved helping kids not only build athletic skills for the court, field, track, and ice, but also develop confidence and habits that carried into everyday life.
